A Fundraiser Reading Series

Gate of the Sun is a reading series held at The People's Forum to raise money from the imperial core and redirect it to people facing political adversity in the Global South.

Money raised in this edition will go to Aseel's campaign to support recently deported Afghan refugees.

All proceeds from ticket sales and the online auction will go directly to Aseel's campaign to support Afghan refugees in Sara-e-Shamali, Kabul, who were recently deported from Iran and Pakistan. Among them, street working children often serve as breadwinners, while widows face huge challenges in providing for their families. Without warm clothing, food, heating, and shelter, they are at high risk of hunger, illness, and death.
